What We Believe About Salvation

God sent Jesus into the world as a man to provide an example for us of how to live our lives and provide a path to salvation for those who believe in Him and follow His Instructions. (John 3:16-18, 15:9-12, Acts 2:29-38, Colossians 2:13-15)

Jesus has the authority to forgive our sins. (Matthew 9:1-8, 1 John 2:12, 1 John 1-2:2)

Jesus will gladly give us the gift of salvation if we believe that He became a man, died for our sins, and returned to life after 3 days. (Matthew 16:16, Acts 2:27-38, Romans 3:10-25)

One must then be baptized and live in obedience to Him thereafter. (Acts 2:38)

Baptism by immersion in water is an essential and integral part of salvation and is among the first acts of obedience one should complete. (Matthew 3:13-17, Mark 6:16, Acts 2:38, 8:12-16, 8:36-38, 9:18, 10:47-48)

Obeying and following Jesus is the only way to avoid Hell and go to Heaven. (Romans 8:12-17, John 10:7-9, 14:6-7)

Communion is the symbolic re-creation of the Last Supper and is necessary for a continued relationship with Jesus after baptism. (Matthew 26:17-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-32)
